Webinar
Volunteer Management Program: From Job Description to Performance Evaluation
Date: 26 January 2022
Time: 7:30am (UTC/GMT-7)
All volunteers need supervision, meaning guidance and encouragement. They need to be treated like paid personnel. Have your volunteers received the same orientation as your employees, as well as periodic reviews? And what happens when you need to say goodbye?
Their compensation will be the time, attention, appreciation, and recognition of co-workers, managers, and leadership, companionship, experience and learning, and knowing that they have made a contribution.
Webinar topics include planning to accept volunteers, recruitment strategies, knowing why they are volunteering, typical issues, and ending the relationship.
Outcomes:
- Evaluate your institution’s volunteer program: How well do you treat your volunteers, and how well do your volunteers contribute to your institution.
- Create and maintain a welcoming, rewarding, and goal-oriented environment for volunteers.
- Broaden your outreach to more potential volunteer candidates.
- Partner with nonprofits and other agencies to build volunteer pools and share candidates.
